At Viking Rubber, quality is not limited to one final inspection.
It is built into every stage of production, with defined checkpoints that help
protect your specifications, ensure consistency and identify issues
before they move further through the process.
For you, this provides greater consistency, clearer documentation and confidence
that the finished garments reflect the requirements agreed at the beginning of the project.
Material INSPECTION
Materials are inspected before they are released for production. Fabrics, trims and other components are reviewed for visible defects and checked against the relevant product specifications.
Identifying deviations at this stage helps prevent unsuitable materials from moving further into production. It also reduces unnecessary rework and supports greater consistency across colours, sizes and production batches.
When specific documentation or material requirements apply, these form part of the control process before production begins.
IN-LINE INSPECTIONS
Our quality teams follow production while garments are being made. Workmanship and construction details are inspected directly on the sewing lines, allowing potential issues to be identified close to where they occur.
Checks may include stitching, seam construction, measurements, component placement and other product-specific requirements. Findings are communicated directly to the operating team so corrections can be made before the same issue is repeated across the order.
This continuous dialogue between production and quality control supports consistent workmanship without relying solely on inspection of the finished garment.
TECHNICAL TESTS
Workwear and protective garments must do more than look correct. Where relevant, technical tests are carried out according to the product specifications and customer requirements.
Depending on the garment, testing may cover properties such as waterproofness, seam performance and other functional requirements. These tests help verify that the selected materials and garment construction perform together as intended.
The applicable methods and acceptance criteria are determined by the product, its intended use and the requirements agreed with the customer.
END-OF-LINE INSPECTIONS
Before each garment leaves the sewing line, our quality team checks its workmanship, measurements and overall appearance against the approved specifications. Seams, stitching, components and key functions are carefully inspected, while any issues are corrected before the garment can move forward.
This ensures consistent quality throughout production and prevents defects from reaching the final inspection stage.
AQL 2.5 CHECKS
Once production is complete, finished garments are inspected according to our defined AQL 2.5 sampling procedure. A representative sample is selected from the order and evaluated against the approved product requirements.
The inspection covers the garment’s appearance, measurements, construction and functionality. Identified defects are assessed according to their severity, and the results determine whether the order meets the agreed acceptance criteria.
If the result falls outside those criteria, corrective action is required before the order can proceed.
